I was born and raised in the small city of Kingston, Ontario where there was never anything to do!
When it came time to decide my career path, I knew I wanted to do something that would allow me to have a lot of interaction with the public. You could say I’ve been blessed with the gift of gab! As some point I must have thought: Hey why not teeth!? After all, a beautiful smile has always been the first feature I notice.
I graduated from Algonquin College’s Dental Assisting program in 2002. Over the years I’ve gained experience in different dental practices throughout Ottawa; some of them specialists. In 2018 I decided to take on a new challenge as an Administrative Assistant and I joined Billings Bridge Dental Centre. Everyone here made me feel so welcome and, before my first day was over, I already felt like I had been here for years!
When I’m not at work, I am busy in my other role as mommy to my two amazing kids! They certainly keep me busy and life very interesting!
Sharon - Certified Dental Assistant
Hi, I’m Sharon!
One sunny summer morning many, many years ago, I stopped by Billings Bridge Dental Centre on the way to the beach with my daughter. My plan was to drop off a resume, but I attended an impromptu interview instead! Within a week I began a career I love as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and, except for a brief interlude when I owned and operated a chip wagon, I’ve been here ever since.
Good solid training and old-school values are very important to me. I get frustrated when things aren’t just so. I love, love, love greeting patients who have become like friends over the years. It’s my job to make Dr. Azzi look good.
Apparently, when I think I’m alone, I’m almost always singing. I’ve been told this by my coworkers. I guess it’s hard to be alone at work!
I enjoy family, food, and hockey. I’m 100% convinced that my Toronto Maple Leafs will win a Stanley Cup any season now.
