Our fully qualified professionals have years of experience providing dental care — and devote special attention to the study of Dentistry.
Our Dentists attend at least four Ontario Dental Association continuing education courses a year, plus other courses of particular interest that are held locally. That’s an average of more that five days a year of training for every one of our Dentists, to help keep your care in line with new, effective practices.
We can also offer you the specialized services of an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. MacInnis, and a Periodontist, Dr. Alleyn, to meet any of your special dental requirements.

 A Founding Partner of our Clinic, Dr. Rodrigues promotes continuing Dental education, to help our staff maintain and enhance both their high skill levels and their knowledge of evolving standards of Dental care. He aims to provide each patient with the highest standard of care in an efficient, state-of-the-art facility. Dr. Rodrigues provides comprehensive family dental care and has a keen interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Rodrigues’ wife Cheryl, daughter Rachael and son Paul are vital sources of inspiration who help him meet his challenges and reach his goals. Dr. Rodrigues is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association and the Ottawa Dental Society. He holds a degree in Dentistry from the University of Bombay and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba (1984).

 Dr. Jamshaid, Senior Partner, joined our Clinic in 1987 as a new Dentist who aimed to deliver comprehensive dental treatment to patients of all ages. In the practice of General Dentistry, Dr. Jamshaid takes special pride in restoring lost dental abilities through new technologies, such as dental implants, and in restoring smiles with crowns and veneers. Extensive experience and continuing education enable him and his team to consistently deliver high-quality Dental care. Dr. Jamshaid is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the Ottawa Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He holds Bachelor of Science (Hons.) and Master of Science degrees in Physiology from the University of Ottawa and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Toronto (1987).

 Dr. Ivanita, a Partner, joined our Clinic in 2002. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Ivanita has worked with Kindness in Action for the past several years, helping to provide dental treatment to those in remote areas of Central and South America. He is also a part-time instructor in the Dental Hygiene program at Algonquin College. A member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Ottawa Dental Society and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Dr. Ivanita holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from McGill University, in Montréal, where he concurrently completed a B.Sc. in Psychology.

 Dr. Downar-Zapolski joined our Clinic in 1993, following five years practising Dentistry in Winnipeg and 10 years in practice in Poland. In our Clinic, she delivers comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. A member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association and the Ottawa Dental Society, Dr. Downar-Zapolski graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1988.

 Dr. Hunt earned both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Doctor of Dental Surgery from McGill University. After graduation, Dr. Hunt did a one year hospital residency at the Montreal Children's Hospital. She then practiced general dentistry in Montreal from 1985 to 1989. At that time, Dr. Hunt moved to Ottawa and worked for a time in the Regional Municipality of Ottawa Carleton's Dental Clinic. Dr. Hunt enjoys the continuing education challenges of dentistry and stays "in touch" with the changing dental trends through various courses and literature from the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontarion. Her various hobbies include reading, stitiching, learning Welsh and a variety of paper crafts.

 Dr. Azzi joined our Clinic recently. He is a current Advisor to the Canadian Dental Association’s Committee on Student Affairs. In 2003, he served as the Chair of that Committee. Dr. Azzi holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Université de Montréal. As an undergraduate, he studied Biochemistry.

 Dr. Alleyn brings specialized skills in periodontics to our Clinic. Dr. Alleyn’s career in Dentistry began in 1983 with five years practice as a general dentist stationed at CFB Bagotville. He left the Base for Fort Gordon, Georgia, in 1988, to begin periodontal training. His practice has focused on periodontics since 1990, the year he joined the staff of McGill University’s Dental School part-time. An Examiner with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists in Periodontics, Dr. Alleyn holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from McGill.

 Dr. MacInnis brings specialized skills in dental surgery and implants to our Clinic. He has practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery in Canada, the United States and the Near East. His distinguished career has included military service, faculty positions in Dentistry at Dalhousie University, and private practice. He has delivered papers on CranioMaxilloFacial Trauma in North America, Europe and Australia. Dr. MacInnis holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto (1968) and a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (1980).
